The Red Tent (1969)

The commander of a failed 1928 Arctic airship expedition is remembering the events of the "Italia" airship flight, crash, and subsequent rescue efforts. The "ghosts" of people involved in the events appear in his memories to assist him in determining his guilt in the affair. The reminiscences are mixed with the real action: the flight of the "Italia", the air rescue operation from Kings Bay airfield, the expedition of the "Krassin" ice-breaker. A sort of human touch is added by the ever beautiful C.C. playing Malmgren's girlfriend.

Este filme já existe na plataforma YouTube. Há uma ou algumas sem legendas e uma dublada (Herbert Richers), mas o áudio da dublagem está muito baixo e temos que aumentar muito o nível do som para ouvir razoavelmente e em algumas partes do filme a dublagem desaparece.

Assim, essa versão do meu blog é uma versão legendada, com legendas em Inglês e Português. O protagonista, Peter Finch, está muito bem no papel de Umberto Nobile, mas acho que o ator Maximilian Schell poderia ter sido melhor para o papel , por ele ter o rosto quase idêntico ao de Nobile. Tanto Peter Finch como Hardy Kruger, que faz o piloto que salva Nobile, já haviam feito um filme um tanto parecido, O Vôo do Fênix, 4 anos antes.
